So, Marlene tagged me. And now I have to come up with more interesting things about myself. Which is difficult, as I'm not really all that interesting any more. I used to be. But that was years ago.
But while I was linking to her blog, I saw this cool little thingy (I believe it is called a "widget.") that lists where people are coming from when they come to your blog. So I added it to mine. Now how cool is that?
Of course, unlike Marlene, who has visitors from Canada, all my folks have American flags next to them. But that's ok.
Ok, so interesting things about me:
1) I am a Sci Fi geek. I love Stargate SG-1, and will soon start watching Stargate Atlantis (missed it when it first came out, so put off starting until I could get the DVDs and watch it in order. Which leads me to point 2....)
2) I am slightly obsessive compulsive. Order makes me happy. If there's a series of books, or TV shows, I can't just jump in the middle. I have to start at the beginning. Something to do with character development, I suspect...
3) I am drinking Sobe Life Water right now. And it's good. But I made the mistake of looking at the ingredient list. It's got "cochineal extract" in it for color. And since I'm a science nerd, I actually know that that is fancy speak for "ground up bugs." No lie. Go look it up.
4) I got a pedicure a few weeks ago for the first time in about two years. Felt reeeaaalllly good. Looks even better.
5) I have not scrapbooked, for myself, in a very long time. Me = sad. :(
6) The cleaning ladies were supposed to come tomorrow. Now they're not coming til Tuesday. Me = sad. :(
7) When I was a kid, we hid real Easter eggs. One year, we didn't find all of them. We found it about six months later under a chair cushion in the living room. Oddly enough, it didn't smell.
8) I thought of that story because we lost one of Ella's bottles a few days ago. Drew found it today in the toy chest. It still had milk in it. It, alas, did smell.
9) I am going upstairs now to watch Eureka (A Sci Fi Channel original, you know) with Drew.
But before I go, in the spirit of Marlene, I tag these people who I think read my blog (at least occasionally) but don't have blogs of their own, to post in the comments a few random things about themselves: Donna Bolsar, Patti Seiger, Colleen Fennessey, Lisa Valletta, Mary Alice Markol.
'Night! :)
Thanks for tagging me Sarah! I do have a blog, but it is mostly related to my weight loss achievements.
Interesting things about me? Hummmmmm, now you got me thinking.....Here are a few, don't know how interesting they are!
1. Avid blog reader. Unemployed right now so I have been reading several dozen blogs lately, both weight loss and scrapbooking related.
2. Anal list maker! No matter what I am doing there are always lists around my work area. Shopping lists, chore lists, phone call lists....etc....
3. Biking fanatic! Bought a brand new spanking hybrid bike three weeks ago and am obsessed with riding it and getting exercise. Hope the obsession lasts!
4. I am working on at least 7 scrapbooks at a time. Always have one in progress for each niece and nephew (7 of them) and constantly have a mini album or two in progress.
Kind of boring huh?

Thanks for playing, Sarah! I didn't know you were a science geek! (Were you a "trekkie"?)
Donna - congrats on the weight loss and exercise! You go, girl.

Just when I thought I was safe because I don’t blog, hee.
1. I have four sets of twins in my family – my Dad’s a twin, his fraternal twin sister had fraternal twins, my brothers are identical twins, and my aunts are identical twins (Grammy had two sets!).
2. My family sometimes calls me Lou or Sasa. Ask most little, little kids to say “Lisa” and it comes out “Sasa.” By the way, I didn’t really like growing up as “Lisa” in the Lisa/Michelle/Sue era but I really like the sound of my name...just wish it wasn’t such a popular name.
3. I’m Pennsylvania Dutch. I know a few words but mostly useless stuff like “be quiet dog.” I like PA Dutch food like shoefly pie and funny cake and I even eat cream dried beef and scrapple (with ketchup).
4. Jim and I met at church. Jim’s mentor at work was a life-long Lutheran and brought Jim to our church.
5. I drink brewed iced tea with lemon everyday...just ask my dental hygienist. BTW – I LOVE going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned.
6. I’ve always enjoyed crafting. I’ve tried a bunch – basket weaving, stained glass, quilting – but have never stayed with anything as long as scrapbooking. I like figuring things out and then once I do I lose interest. Guess that’s why I have several unfinished quilts.
7. In college I was a student representative and tour guide for Penn State. Yup, I can talk and walk backwards at the same time while remembering to say “and on your left” while I point right! :) Hope SIL Mindy isn’t reading this because she will tell you that I have become quite the pathetic, not involved alum. (hope Colleen doesn’t read this too!)
That was fun. Thanks Sarah!

I read that Lisa!!
As long as you know who wins the blue/white game I will not call you a pathetic alum.
So, do you know?

Sarah,
I would have been so much happier not knowing about the dried up bug parts in my drink!

Hey, Lisa! I read that, too! You're okay in my book; don't you worry.
Okay... here are mine...
1. I have to always have the phone receiver on my left ear. I can't use my right ear because I have a hearing deficiency and listening to the phone on that side makes it sound VERY weird... as though I'm in a cave; it also makes me slightly off kilter. I always envied people who could switch ears while talking on the phone; thought it was SO cool looking.
2. When putting on a necklace, I have to have the clasp in my right hand and the loop in the left. Weird, I know. Apparently, I'm not an ambidextroux necklace-putter-onner.
3. My mother used to wake me up early on mornings when she was wearing a bow blouse (remember those?!) to tie it for her because I tied them better than she did.
4. In honor of this being the first day of school.... I distinctly remember the outfit I wore on my first day of kindergarten. It was a dress with a solid green top, drop-waste, plaid skirt (green, black, ivory) with (my favorite part!) a matching plaid decorative scarf that simply draped over one shoulder. I probably remember it because for the following 12 years I wore a uniform to school.
5. I don't understand why people who like cauliflower like it. To me, it has zilch taste. (But I still respect them for liking it!)
6. When I was in college, my then-boyfriend pointed out that when I eat mint chocolate chip ice cream (it has to be green), my feet swing. I don't know if it still happens but I did notice it after he pointed it out.
7. I am afraid of driving next to tractor trailers. I can pass them okay but I wait until I know that I can completely pass them before proceeding (I won't sit behind another car while they're passing them.) I have this insance fear they will spontaneously tip over on me.
8. When I was about ten years old, I once at 13 slices of french toast for dinner.
